剧集介绍：

公元653年。唐高宗皇位未稳急于用泰山封禅彰显皇威。自认血统高贵的吴王李恪，卧薪尝胆图谋夺回父皇原本留给他的皇位。李恪派死士暗中阻杀，泰山封禅在一场腥风血雨中惨淡收场。唐高宗在打击后一蹶不振不理朝政。郦贵妃为了制衡在后宫日益壮大的势力，决定让唐高宗把身处在感业寺中的武媚娘接回宫中。唐高宗借以感业寺修葺进香为名，带着官员们一起去寺里进香礼佛多少以挽回封禅受挫颜面，并顺道将武媚娘接回。狄仁杰带着富家千金童梦瑶与家丁二宝，随父亲来长安述职。在父亲的引见下，狄仁杰与国丈爷刑部尚书王佑仁见面，狄仁杰这才发现王佑仁之子王元芳竟是当天在市集上遇到了纨绔公子哥。两人不打不相识，王仕飞告诉狄仁杰感业寺闹鬼的传闻，约他一同前往探个究竟。却随即发生了一系列恐怖案件……
