剧集介绍：

19世纪中叶，清朝正在衰落中，吏治败坏，民不聊生。洪秀全与冯云山、杨秀清、萧朝贵、韦昌辉、石达开等人在广西以“拜上帝会”组织群众，密谋举事反清。1851年洪秀全等人在广西桂平县金田村宣布起义，揭起反清大旗，建立太平天国。太平军离开广西后，北上湖南，沿长江顺流而下，清军无力阻挡。1853年太平军占领江苏南京，定都在此，改名天京，分兵北伐及西征。太平天国在最盛时占有长江中下游大片土地，本来形势大好，可是诸王之间的矛盾日渐加剧，终于酿成1856年的天京事变，太平天国元气大伤，从此开始走下坡路。清廷在汉人把持的湘军、淮军及外国势力协助下，终于在1864年消灭了太平天国。

Drama Introduction：

The mid-19th century, the Qing Dynasty is in decline, official corruption, widespread poverty. Hong Xiuquan and Feng Yunshan, Yang, Xiao Chaogui, Wei Changhui, Ground and others in Guangxi to "worship God" organize the masses, plotting uprising against the Qing Dynasty. In 1851, Hong Xiuquan, who announced Guiping County Tamura uprising, lift the banner of anti-establishment Taiping. After leaving the Taiping Guangxi, Hunan northward along the Yangtze River downstream, Qing powerless to stop. 1853 Taiping army occupied Nanjing, capital here, renamed Tianjing, divide our forces and the Northern Expedition expedition. Taiping possession of the Yangtze River in height when large tracts of land, the situation would have been great, but gradually intensifying conflict between the kings, and finally led to the Tianjing Incident of 1856, Taiping battered, began to decline. Qing Han Chinese dominated Hunan, Anhui Army and the assistance of foreign forces, and finally eliminated the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in 1864.
