剧集介绍：
故事发生在上世纪四十年代末五十年代初，新疆和平解放前后。在贫穷落后的南疆乡村，美丽善良的维吾尔少女阿娜尔罕与纯朴勇敢的小伙子库尔班彼此爱慕。横行乡里的大地主乌斯曼伯克，为了向本地区的最高统治者伊明专员邀功献媚，打算把阿娜尔罕献给伊明做小妾。阿娜尔罕不愿屈从，却遭致乌斯曼的残酷迫害，家破人亡。解放军进军新疆，给在生死线上苦苦挣扎的劳苦大众们带来了翻身做主人的希望。但是以伊明专员为首的旧制度恶势力集团，不甘心失去自己的权势地位，他们勾结以玛莎督察为代表的外国势力，负隅顽抗，妄图推翻新生的人民政权。在解放军、工作队的坚强带领下，阿娜尔罕、库尔班和乡亲们，同曾经不可一世的压迫者进行了一次次的斗争，用热情、汗水甚至鲜血，捍卫人民政权，迎来崭新的生活和命运。
