剧集介绍：
解放军某部侦察参谋赵长林乔装智入李匪盘踞的华阴县城，通知起义部队提前举行起义，解放了华阴县城。敌旅长李继龙率残部逃往华山。途中李匪假冒“解放军首长”劫持华山镇美女杨玉环未果，用中正剑杀死杨玉环的义兄。杨玉环欲为父报仇。李匪逃上华山，封锁华山通道，以杀害数百人质和毁坏华山文物古迹要挟我军。为消灭李匪、解救人质、保护华山珍贵文物古迹，我军派遣信使张正道和孟习圃携劝降信上山劝降。张正道被李匪杀害，孟习圃逃回部队，加入赵长林的侦察班，寻找第二条登山路。在樵夫王拴娃和段成群的协助下，侦察班攀悬崖，越深渊，奇取了北峰。侦察班与李匪斗智斗勇，解救了被扣为人质的数百百姓，保全了华山文物古迹，配合大部队解放了整座华山。
