剧集介绍：
抗战后回到东北家乡的老兵张向北，本来以为可以过上和平、幸福的生活，但是当时官僚的腐败，让他的美好愿望落空了，张向北父亲张远堂因为为抗联运送过物资，被警察局长杨士亮陷害为通日卖国的汉奸，张向北四处奔走，毫无结果，家业亦被洗劫一空。辽城商会会长金转云也回到了辽城，他为人正直，在辽城名声显赫，金转云试图营救张远堂，却因为郝士良的暗中阻挠，数次未果，张远堂惨死狱中。张向北渴望为父亲报仇，金转云看到张向北的勇敢、抗争，对他进行积极引导，并暗中给予支持。张向北爱上了杨士亮的女儿杨欢，却被暗恋着杨欢的辽城警局探长严洪森设计入狱。金转云带着张向北历经万险找到一座日军藏匿的军火库，找出大批武器交给我地下党，为解放战争做出贡献。辽城解放了，金转云为张向北的父亲洗清了汉奸罪名，带领他投身到革命的队伍中去。
